- Interactive foresight workshop
A hands-on foresight workshop that equips decision-makers, educators and community organisers with practical futures tools. Rather than predicting a single future, participants use horizon scanning and scenario planning to prepare for uncertainty — applied to three sustainability frontiers: accelerating climate mitigation and net-zero pathways, designing robust adaptation to physical climate risks, and strengthening community resilience in the face of compound social and ecological disruption.
What participants do
- Spot weak signals and drivers of change across technology, policy and society through horizon scanning
- Build alternative 2035–2050 scenarios to stress-test mitigation and adaptation plans
- Use backcasting and wind-tunnelling to surface vulnerabilities and co-create community resilience strategies
What they’ll take away
- Practise core foresight tools: horizon scanning, scenario building and backcasting
- Understand how mitigation, adaptation and community resilience interact under deep uncertainty
- Leave with future-ready priorities that strengthen your organisation and community today
Logistics
All we need is a room with tables for groups of 4–8. No participant preparation required — all materials are provided.
